Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Chef Auvra ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and any two-factor authentication method you enable, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@chefauvra.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose a security risk, with or without notice depending on severity.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Chef Auvra offers a free tier and paid PRO/FAMILY subscription tiers, billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Prices are subject to change with advance notice; changes apply to your next renewal, not your current billing period.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the recipes, photos, comments, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Chef Auvra a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it within the Service — for example, showing your published recipes to other users, or displaying photos you upload of your own cooking alongside a recipe. You're responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you submit, and for the accuracy of any recipe, dietary, or allergen information you provide.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or infringes on others' rights.
• Misuse the AI recipe/meal-plan generation features to produce or attempt to produce harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.
• Scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service without our written permission.

Published recipes, photos, and comments are subject to moderation and may be rejected, removed, or result in account suspension for violations of this policy.

6. AI-Generated Content & Disclaimers

Chef Auvra uses artificial intelligence (including OpenAI and Stability AI) to generate recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and cover images. AI-generated content, including ingredient lists, cooking instructions, and nutrition estimates, may contain errors and is provided for informational purposes only — it is not professional dietary, medical, or nutritional advice. You are solely responsible for verifying that any recipe is safe for your dietary needs and allergies before preparing or consuming it, regardless of any dietary flags or allergen warnings shown in the app.

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHEF AUVRA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY ADVERSE REACTION TO A RECIPE.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, regardless of your location.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
